These are some of my past and work-in-progress projects.
In the Spring 2016 semester, I took an introductory course in photography. In this class, I learned the fundamentals of composing a photograph. Before this class, I've always enjoyed taking pictures, but I did not know how to shoot beyond auto mode. This class has taught me how to shoot manually and get more creative. At the end of the class, we organized an art show to showcase the techniques we have learned througout the semester.
Worked in a team of four to finish a 36-hour coding project for Hack AZ. This project involved the use of HTML, CSS, Javascript, and the Respoke API in order to implement a messaging system. The purpose of this app is to aid the teacher in assessing students’ understanding of the lectures as the students ask real-time questions through the app.
Worked in a team of four to build and design a tower defense game from scratch using Java. The player must prevent the junk food invaders from reaching the mouth. There are four types of towers in the defense team: blueberry, kiwi, banana, and apple.
This mini project is done using Java. My inspiration behind this is to create a useful study tool.
This program is also done using Java. This is a mini game that tests your basic math skills.
This is my attempt to make a minion through Processing. This involved the use of basic shapes such as rectangle, square, and circle.
This mini project is also done using Processing. It plays a song in the background as the musical notes move around and change into random colors. The user can click the "mp3 player" in the middle to change its color.
This is a simple attempt to make something creative. I took a message from a fortune cookie and made it "glitchy." In digital art, a glitch can refer to a malfunction, corruption, or error in the image. I wanted to show how messages in the real world are often unclear. This image shows a text that is almost unreadable due to colored stripes covering it. This text or message can represent our dreams and goals in life. Although it is blurry and unclear, the real message should still be obvious and that is to focus on what is important. When looking at this image, we should not pay attention to the colored stripes that are covering the message. Just like in real life, we should not focus on struggles and hardships; rather focus on priorities, goals, and the message that life wants to tell us.
